Unbound 2026: Everything new from HubSpot in Boston and what it means for you
From 16 to 18 September, HubSpot brought its community together in Boston for this year's flagship conference. But this year it wasn't called INBOUND. After fifteen years, the event has a new name: Unbound. According to HubSpot, the new name reflects that growth today is about much more than a single marketing methodology. It's about new channels, new ways of working and, above all, new technology.
And technology really was in focus. Alongside the conference, HubSpot launched its Fall Spotlight with more than a hundred updates across the platform. We've gone through them and gathered the highlights here.
The big theme: Growth Context
If there was one word you kept hearing in Boston, it was context. HubSpot presented a survey of 6,000 customers and prospects showing that around 90 percent use AI, but only 6 percent see truly transformational results.
The explanation is simple. The most common uses of AI, such as drafting copy and emails, have the least business impact. The uses that really move the needle, such as campaign analysis and pipeline prioritization, require the AI to understand your specific business. Generic context gives generic results.
HubSpot's answer is Growth Context: a layer of data about your business, your customers and your team that all AI in the platform can draw from. Dharmesh Shah, HubSpot co-founder and CTO, put it this way: your business context outlasts any single AI model. According to HubSpot, companies using Growth Context create twice as many deals, win three times as many deals and close more than twice as many tickets.
Context Home: the heart of your AI efforts
Context Home is a new, central place to store the information AI needs: your ICP, products, tone of voice, brand and much more. You can upload files and add free-form notes. Context Home replaces the former AI Data Sources feature and also scores how complete your context is, so you can see where the gaps are.
Our take: This may be the most important announcement of all, precisely because it is so fundamental. Every agent launched this year gets better the better your context is. Start here.
Breeze Assistant now acts, not just answers
Breeze Assistant has been rebuilt from the ground up. Previously it could answer questions like "who are our biggest customers in Stockholm". Now it can take action directly in your portal: creating documents, automations, custom apps and agents. For example, it can draft a follow-up email after a customer meeting or turn several sales calls into a structured proposal. Scheduled prompts, result sharing and mobile voice (beta) are also part of the update.
Agent Hub and Agent Builder
With more agents at work, you need an overview. Agent Hub (formerly Breeze Agents) gives you a single view of every agent in your portal across marketing, sales and service, where you can see status and activity and switch agents on or off.
Agent Builder (formerly Breeze Studio) is where you build your own agents. A long-awaited addition is that existing workflows can be converted into agentic workflows with a single click.
Marketing Studio and three new marketing agents
Marketing Studio has been thoroughly reworked and is now where the whole campaign is built, from audience and messaging to assets, launch and measurement. Three agents work together here, all in public beta:
- Campaign Agent turns a goal into a campaign plan with channels, messaging and assets.
- Content Agent researches tone of voice, audience and competitors before creating blog posts, LinkedIn content and landing pages.
- Nurture Agent personalizes every email in a sequence based on CRM data, engagement and live research.
On top of that came automated campaigns, native WhatsApp marketing and a new landing page editor (all in beta), plus simplified lead scoring.
Advertising: ChatGPT Ads and Microsoft Advertising
HubSpot becomes the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads, so you can connect advertising in ChatGPT to contacts and deals in HubSpot. There is also a new Microsoft Advertising integration and support for Reddit Ads (beta).
At the same time, HubSpot AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) keeps growing. It measures how often your brand is mentioned in AI answers from tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, and how your competitors show up in the same answers. For anyone working on visibility, this is an area to watch closely.
Sales: a CRM that updates itself
For sales teams, the big news was a self-updating Smart CRM. Calls, emails and meetings are captured automatically, and CRM fields are filled in as suggestions that the rep reviews and approves. Less admin, better data.
HubSpot also launched:
- Prospecting Agent with on-demand sourcing and fit scoring against your ICP.
- Deal Progression (beta), which uses emails and call transcripts to move deals forward.
- Deal Plans and buying groups (beta) for complex B2B deals with many decision makers.
- New buyer signals, including job changes via UserGems and intent data from Bombora.
Service: Customer Agent grows up
Customer Agent received more than a dozen updates, including smoother handoffs to a human, different tone of voice for different customer segments, batch testing and voice support (beta). Help Desk also gained SMS support and an omnichannel waitlist (beta).
Revenue Hub, Data Hub and the platform
- Revenue Hub gets direct contract management (beta), from the first deal through amendments and renewals to billing, plus CPQ updates.
- Data Hub gets Snowflake and BigQuery sync, among other things, as well as better duplicate management.
- HubSpot's MCP server and new AI connectors let you use your HubSpot data directly in Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini.
- HubSpot Work (beta) is a new AI-first workspace that builds project trackers, documents and automations from plain-language requests and your CRM data.
How to get started
It's tempting to try everything at once. Our advice is the opposite:
- Start with context. Fill Context Home with your ICP, your offering and your tone of voice. It's the foundation for everything else.
- Clean up your data. Agents are never better than the data they work with.
- Pick one agent at a time. A good test is to write a job description for the task you want to hand over. If it's hard to put into words, the process isn't ready for an agent yet.
- Check availability. Many updates are in beta and depend on your HubSpot subscription tier.
Unbound 2026 made it clear where HubSpot is heading: from a tool you work in to a platform where AI agents work for you, fuelled by your business context.
